Alden's / Julie's Organic Ice Cream Review

First off I all I want to say is Yum!  Ok, fine I do want to say more.  :)

My family got to try Alden's organic ice cream.  We tried Blackberry, Peanut butter chip. My son is in love with the peanut butter chip flavor..  I am in love with the blackberry flavor.  Alden's is creamier, and possibly be the worlds best ice cream!  The only downside is the price.  It is quite a bit more pricey than your average ice cream but then again you get what you pay for.  Alden's is Organic, Kosher, and Non GMO. Most flavors are not Gluten Free so you will have to check.

Julie's Organic ice cream is also very delicious and is in the same family (company).  My son absolutely loves their Ice Cream Cookies and Sandwiches. They are gluten free and a treat I do not feel as guilty giving him.  He loves them and they are organic.

Overall both brands are awesome and our current all time favorite brands of ice cream.

Genesis Today Review

Genesis Today  has a group of Health juices that are tasty and very good for you.  They use super fruits to fuel there line of juices.  This day in time we all need all the help we can get with health.  Genesis today is providing us with a healthy way to recharge or build our bodies up.  Even Dr. Oz has had a segment on these great juices.

I love these drinks.  They are super healthy but do sometimes have a bit of a bitter taste.  Do not get me wrong they are sweet too.  It wasn't significant enough for me to stop drinking them.  My son also drinks these juices willingly and enjoys them. (who can complain about that?)

We all want our families to be as healthy as possible and thanks to Genesis Today we can have an easier time getting there.

"

Super doesn’t begin to describe these fruits. They are packed with nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, essential fats and especially antioxidants. What’s so great about antioxidants, you ask? They combat free radicals in the body.
In short, they’re like Superman, fighting the bad guys before things get out of control. Wondering how each superfruit stacks up?"  (quoted from Genesis today.)

Greek Gods Yogurt Review

Like many I didn't know the difference between Regular yogurt and Greek yogurt.

What is Greek yogurt?  (quote from wise geek)

Greek yogurt is a type of yogurt that is celebrated for its very thick and creamy texture. The process for making it includes extra steps that result in its thickness. It has about the same creamy texture as sour cream, and provides an excellent substitute. It has recently become more increasingly available in the US, because the taste and the lack of bitterness make it a wonderful treat.
Typical Greek yogurt made in Greece may use either sheep or cow’s milk. Imports to the US tend to stick with cow’s milk variants, since sheep’s milk has a tangier taste and may be disliked by those unfamiliar to it. Most US made versions of Greek yogurt use only cow’s milk.
The principle difference in creating Greek yogurt is that after the milk is heated and cultured, it is allowed to sit in muslin or cheesecloth bags, so that the whey filters out of the yogurt. You’ll note that some yogurts have an almost runny texture, or have liquid on the top when you open them. Greek yogurts don’t have this liquid because of the straining process.

Also there is tons of health benefits of Greek Yogurt found here http://www.livestrong.com/article/233450-what-are-the-health-benefits-of-greek-yogurt/

I tried three flavors Honey, Plain, Strawberry Honey.  Strawberry honey did not sound to appealing to me.  For some reason those flavors just didn't sound good mixed to me.  I tried it anyway.  By far Strawberry Honey was the best!  In fact their strawberry honey is my Second favorite yogurt ever now.  It's creamy and delicious with a light strawberry and a touch of honey flavor.  I found these at my local Baker's Supermarket.  (part of the kroger, dillans chain.)  In fact I just bought some more yesterday.

I handed out several coupons for people to try it and tell me what they think.  One said honey was ok, Plain was good but their favorite is also Strawberry Honey.  Out of all the people I let try it Strawberry Honey was the favorite out of all of them.

Organic Bistro Review

Recently I contacted Organic Bistro and they let me try their Wild Alaskan Salmon Meal. I have been wanting to try these for some time. They are found in the frozen meal section of your favorite health food store.  I got mine at Whole foods.

My son and me shared it.

Timmy loved it. He tried to steal my half. My son, like me is not big on fish. Yet, we both gobbled the meal up. It was surprisingly refreshing. It's all organic and super healthy (below listed is the ingredients and Nutrition Info. ).

The fish was moist and very tasty.  Broccoli was the vegetable and it wasn't over cooked like most meals do to their veggies.  The Carb was a delicious pilaf with almonds.  I since have purchased this item several times.  Add this to the list of the new items I am so totally addicted to!

Wonderforge Games Review

Just looking at this site makes me giggly like a kid making a list of things I want.  These games are magnificent.  The creativity they have is unbound.  I want all the games! lol.  Well I settled for two.

First off we tried Cat in the Hat I can do that! My son and nephew get together to play this one.  When they do its a giggle fest seeing what each other has to attempt to keep their cards.  This game does not get old.  Right after my nephew plays with my sons electric train sets he wants this game opened right up.

"Jump into the fun and discover all the new things you can do!

  • Encourages self-confidence and positive self-esteem
  • Promotes reading skills

I love how interactive and active this game is.  The kids have to act out the cards.  This is a great game for kids of all ages!  Even us parents got involved even though my disablities kept me from doing some of the activities it was a blast.

Next Up we tried Chuggington

"

The go-for-a-ride, see-what’s-inside game. A trainload of surprises is chugging into the depot. Can you find the right cargo? Look inside the boxcars for the shapes, colors and numbers you need. But watch out — you never know when Old Puffer Pete will chug around the track and mix up everything. It’s a fun game of memory, pattern matching and discovery. Learning fun, Memory, Pattern matching, Number, Color and Shape recognition . Product contents Game Box with Rotating Train Disk and 8 Boxcar Doors, 4 game boards, 30 Vee Cards, 32 Cargo pieces and 1 game rules manual. Age 3+, number of players 1 or more. The wonder forge features family games designed to bridge generation gaps and build family bonds. Its preschool sub-brand, i can do that. Games, is designed to celebrate the “can do” in every kid, with games that engage children physically, socially and creatively."

My son loves this game but my Nephew is absolutely addicted!  He has to play it every time he comes over.  Its a perfect game for preschoolers.  The first to fill up their train cargo is the winner.  Pick a card to find out what cargo you need and spin to see what you can get.  Cargo can go by numbers, colors or shapes.  My nephew is 3 and he really wins a lot of the time.  He has figured out the whole game and loves being Wilson.  Me I pick Koko. ;)  This is the funnest preschool game I have ever played with children.  I am a mom, babysitter, and teacher, so yes I have played a lot of games.  Try this game, I know you wont be sorry especially if you have train fanatics at your house.

Both these games are outstanding and defiantly will be recommended by me.
