Van's Natural Foods Review

If you are on a Gluten Free diet or a regular to the term then you probably know Van's Natural foods.  They are really known for their frozen waffles and muffins. Van's also sell  French Toast sticks and Pancakes.

They are one of the first Gluten free products I ever tried.   Their waffles are amazingly not what you expect when you hear gluten free.  They are very tasty and we loved them. .  We really wanted to try the muffins but no one sales them in our areas. :(

We tried Van’s Organic Blueberry waffles.  They where extremely good especially with hot maple syrup and boy are they healthy!  Great source of whole Grains and Fiber and a bonus!  You also get protein to help you feel full.

A lil tidbit quoted from their site "

Van's History

You may not know it, but Van’s has been cooking up tasty, good-for-you waffles for almost a half century. It all started back in the 1970s when the Van Dam family opened a swinging waffle joint in Southern California. By the late 1980s, our groovy little beachside favorite had outgrown itself, and the Van Dam family decided it was time to bring their creations to a whole new group of customers—right in their local grocery stores.

Since then, Van’s has evolved from a single waffle restaurant to one of the country’s most beloved frozen waffle and breakfast companies—but our philosophy hasn’t changed a bit. We’re a company that cares about what its customers eat. We value artisanal quality, cooking our products in small, minimally processed batches with always-fresh ingredients. And, since we want everyone to be able to enjoy our waffles, we offer wheat/gluten free waffles along with organic, mini and our signature 8 Whole Grain varieties.
The original Van’s restaurant may no longer be dishing out waffles on the beach, but we still pack the same sunny Southern California spirit of the Van Dam family into every waffle—and we’re doing it with your well-being in mind. Our only hope is that you’ll enjoy Van’s foods as much as we enjoy creating them."

Van's are extremely convenient and easily popped into the Microwave or Toaster!  They are as quick as the mainstream brands and just as tasty but now you can have a quick and healthy Breakfast!

Nature's Path Organic Review

Nature's Path Sent me a kit with several different products to test.  We are long time Nature's Path fans but hey I love free products so much more.  They are a great company that are in to good products and helping the earth.

My son got to try the Gorilla Munch cereal.  It looks like Kix Cereal but better. My son is a self proclaimed Cereal Expert.  He would eat it morning, noon, and night if I let him. He is for the most part Gluten free and he also hates most gluten free cereals.  Not Nature's Path!  He down this stuff like its candy!  I had to try it myself and I was pleasantly surprised.  It tasted really good.  Probably the best kids cereal I ever tasted.

I love the quote on the site: "Made with love and ...

INGREDIENTS: Organic corn meal, organic evaporated cane juice, sea salt. Produced in a facility that uses peanuts, tree nuts & soy."

We got to try the Granola bars also.  They are great.  We try to have them on hand at all times. Our picnics would never be the same without them.  Though my Favorite of there Bar line is the Pumpkin - N- Spice and MMMaple Pecan Bars.

Lovers Crunch, I know interesting name... I never thought of being an healthy adult and having chocolate in my cereal would fit in the same sentence.  This was a limited time Cereal and glad I was a lucky tester of it. Simply Splendid!  Dried fruit and chocolate?  Who could want more in a healthy cereal?  I loved it.  The flavors mingled perfectly.  I ate it with vanilla almond milk and it seemed to kick it up another notch!

Nature's Path is a wonderful brand with products that never seem to fail my taste buds.  Thank you again Nature's Path for the wonderful Products!

Navitas Naturals Review

Navitas has made quite a name for themselves.  They been on CNN and Oprah and more. They have a huge selection of products from dried fruit to nuts. If you didn't already know there name means Energy in Latin.   Great recipes and Healthy products is what put them on my Radar.  (Natural helps too! love naturals!

What we got to try:  We first off tried the Trail mix which had 3 Berries, Cashews, and Cacao Nibs. This was so good my mom kept asking for me.  I have to get her some. :)  One of the berries where a lil sour but the other flavors where amazing.  Great Texture and flavor that my 9 yr old son loved too.

Just Cacao Nibs are the next thing we tried.  They where so good like eating pure chocolate with out the artificial junk weighing you down. These are a snack I do not mind my son eating.  (in moderation that is!)

Cacao Lip Balm, Yumm! My lips never smelt so delicious.  I  lasted for hours and was a very powerful choco sent!  Another product I love and made my lips smooth.  Caution this lip Balm will have chocolate lovers after your lips!!!!!

Here is a cool video I got off their YouTube channel.  It is about the Cacao...

Saving for Disney

So we are trying to save for Disney.  Its nearly Impossible but worth a try.  We only make My husbands SSA and my sons SSI..(rent takes up 80 % of the checks)  I do not qualify since I didn't apply right away.  Ugh.  Anyways we are going to try since my son has been begging for two years. He is autistic and dreams of Disney.  So we are hoping it will happen someday.  ~Jo
