We are going to Washington DC! Thanks to Lipton!

So, some of you know I have a hobby and I enter a few contest a day more not than on but I try.  Guess what?  I won a trip to the Washington DC trip for Lipton's Chef Fest with Michael Symon and other Food network or Celebrity Chefs.  We are so very excited but not at the same time.  This will be our first official flight for me and my son.  Yep, only one guest so my husband wanted me and my son to get some bonding time.

Do you have any ideas on getting ready for the flight because my Autistic son is dead set against flying.  He knows he has to go with me and I am waiting for the panic as it gets closer.  This is a great opportunity to face a big time fear for the both of us.  I have won trips in the past but turned them down due to fear of flying.

We are thinking of only bringing carry on to make it simple but we have to include the swim suits... This is going to be a organizing feat.

Ok, well here is the deal.. I won and I will take pictures and video if allowed.

What we get?  A two night hotel stay.. Tickets to the Chef fest and 200$ spending money.  This is going to be fun!

Any recommendations for food in DC?  Let me know.

Emmi's Essentials Aromatherapy Diffuser Review + Giveaway

Emmi's Essentials Aromatherapy Diffuser Review + Giveaway

I live a highly stressful life not only am I disabled but so is my husband and son. My son has Autsim and my husband has high anxiety where that he is always on edge. He does not hit or hurt but he will use words that hurt sometimes. He in now way would be able to take care of our son by himself. Every time you call him or my son calls him he acts upset like we are bothering him. It makes a very stressful life.

I use diffusers throughout my house. Mostly I use lavender or peppermint. Lavender to calm and De-stress everyone and Peppermint for my headaches. Diffusers work like magic... and the special power? Turning special magic turning essential oil into a great cloud of air. Ok, I am not a magic type of person and do not believe it really is magic but it really does work. I think god gave us plants for a reason. A lot of them help us and we do not even know it. I know by experience that herbs do work. I know I defiantly get soothed by lavender and peppermint works for sore muscles and headaches.

Anyway enough of that but down to this diffuser. It is a normal diffuser size and it is a nice one. It changes colors and it has a timer so you can set it for a the amount of time you need. It is easy to fill and use. Just take off the top and fill the water base to desired amount. Next pick your desired essential oil and pour a few drops into the water base. Then replace the lid and lock into place. Push the button for time or colors.

It is a very nice diffuser and am currently using it in my bathroom because that is my spa and relax room. I run lavender when I take a candle lit night shower. I tend to pamper myself once in a great while.

I am a cooking nut, I love to cook!  I am very picky about my oils because I only want my food to taste the best! At home I love cooking from scratch and make most of our meals.  When my family loves the dish and is well fed then I am satisfied.   We use many oils like Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Sunflower oil, it all depends on the dish.  Timmy (My son) loves pizza so today I made two pizza crust from scratch and tried this oil.  It is one of the best Olive oils I have ever had.  The flavor is very rich and strong.  My son gobbled down his pizza and as you can guess that made me happy giving him a delicious meal.  Most know how much healthier Olive oil is compared to most oils.  So with great flavor and being healthy and organic it is definitely a hit in my house.

My pizzas? That I will give the recipes if you would like to know them just email me or comment on this page.

Check out their huge selection of oils:  Nut and Seed oils too. In the USA pick it  up at Wholefoods. It runs about MSRP $12.99.

What a wonderful company this day in age! I love how lately everyone is learning how bad things are for you and trying to make good choices.  Another reason why I love this brand is because it is NON-GMO, FairTrade, and USDA organic.
